You can use movement speed to control the pacing of your video. If a rotation feels rushed or a push-in needs more impact, adjusting the speed gives you finer control. This is different from clip duration - here you’re changing how fast the camera moves inside the clip.

What it does

  • Adjust the speed of camera movement (push in, trucks, rotate, etc.) inside a clip

  • Fix animations that feel too fast without re-animating

  • Add creative control over pacing

For the more technically inclined: behind the scenes, Amplifiles generates an interpolated version of the clip so that playback stays at a smooth 30 fps, even with extremely slowed-down clips.

How to adjust

  1. Check current speed of the clip from Preview screen.

  2. Select the clip you want to edit.

  3. Click the Playback speed button.

  4. Choose between slower or faster movement.

Amplifiles will update the clip automatically in the background. The first adjustment may take a moment to process.

Things to know

  • Clip duration vs. speed: Duration changes how long a clip plays, while movement speed changes how fast the camera moves during that time.

  • As said the first adjustment may take a moment to process. After done, you can either slow or speed up the movement and inspect in preview.

  • No re-animation needed: You can adjust speed anytime without starting over.

Examples to try

  • Slow down a living room push in for a calm, cinematic feel

  • Speed up exterior shots to match short-form social media clips

  • Adjust a rotation that moves too quickly so viewers can see details
