Policy Update: Minimum Rating Raised to 3.5 Stars

Pros on the Angi platform need a minimum average rating of at least 3.5 stars.

Our mission at Angi is Jobs Done Well. To accomplish this mission, our goals are to: 1) have more homeowners find skilled pros to do the work they need through Angi and 2) for more pros to be hired for the work they want through Angi. Therefore, one of our key focus areas is the quality of the pros on our platform and their ability to deliver a consistently good experience. Our data shows that homeowners are more likely to select pros with multiple reviews and a high rating.

What’s changing

Beginning March 13th, we are increasing the minimum average rating requirement for pros from 3.0 to 3.5 stars. We recommend requesting new reviews as you complete jobs so that you keep your rating up-to-date and homeowners can see your most recent feedback. Additionally, a consistent inflow of new reviews can also help bolster your online reputation.

As long as your rating remains above the new 3.5 star minimum, you will continue to receive leads and retain your advertising status.

How to view your rating

You can view your current overall star rating on your profile at any time. Keep in mind that ratings can take one to three business days to update when a new review is posted.

  1. Log in to the Angi Pro Ads app.

  2. Tap the My Business tab on the bottom menu bar.

  3. Scroll down to the Business Profile section and tap on the View Profile button.

  4. You’ll see your current star rating displayed under your business name.

We believe that raising the minimum rating to 3.5 is an important first step. We have a high bar for quality to ensure that you are in good company at Angi and that we are connecting homeowners with pros who have a solid track record. As we continue to focus on quality initiatives, we will communicate future changes in ratings or other requirements ahead of time so you can prepare as needed.
