You can manually enter a patient's contact details to send them a message. This can be useful if you are on a computer where you do not have access to your EHR and so you can't use the other search methods.

  1. On the Contact Patients page, select Manually enter patient's details.

  2. Enter the patient's details in the boxes. You must enter the patient's first and last name, their NHS number (without spaces), and either of their phone number or email address.

  3. Click Add to recipient list.

  4. You can now compose and send your message to the patient.
