Adding custom letter types in Anima is straightforward β here's how to do it:
Go to Organisation Settings and open the Document Processing tab
Find the Letter Types section and in the Custom Letter Types panel, click Add
Enter the name of your new letter type (up to 300 characters) and click Confirm
Once you're done, make sure to click Save Changes at the top of the page to store your new letter types
A couple of things worth knowing:
Anima already includes a default list of common letter types such as Discharge Letter, Referral, and Test Results β custom types are added on top of these. You won't be able to add a type that already exists in the default or custom list.
If your practice uses SystmOne, any custom letter types will also need to be added to the Permitted Options list in SystmOne. If they're not included there, SystmOne will reject them when filing documents to the record.
To remove a custom letter type, simply click the trash icon next to it.
Once set up, your custom letter types will be available across Anima for filtering documents, setting up routing workflows, and filing to your EHR.
