NOTE: Synthace only supports the 384 MCA and its associated adapters. If you have questions regarding Synthace’s support of your MCA, please contact your customer success representative.
FluentControl
1. Open up FluentControl on the PC connected to your Fluent.
2. Navigate to Database > Create restore point for complete data set and create a snapshot of your Fluent Control state. Accept the changes.
3. Import in the Synthace LC Set MCA384.zeia file linked at the bottom of this page. Download the attached file and go to Database > Import and open the MCA Liquid Class file. Select Add without dependencies and Import.
4. Open up both the user and Synthace Base worktable. If you use an adapter with your 384 MCA ensure that the adapter exists on both the user and Synthace Base Worktable. If the base worktable does not contain the adapter, create a copy of the user worktable and re-create the base worktable WITH the adapter present. Be sure to update the Synthace Base Script and Synthace Base Method 01 with the new base worktable. Please reach out to your Customer Success representative if you have to carry out this step.
5. Close FluentControl.
SynthaceHub
1. Open SynthaceHub on the PC connected to your Fluent. Navigate to the Devices page and select CONFIGURATION TOOL underneath your device.
2. The Tecan Fluent Config Tool should open or at least appear in the bottom application tray - click on its icon to bring the window forward.
3. Select the appropriate FluentControl Worktable you are generating the configuration for. Under the MCA384 section, select whether or not your MCA has a statically mounted head adapter, as well as what specific type of MCA you have. NOTE: If the MCA384 section does not appear, contact your Customer Success representative.
4. Click on Get config and save the .json file.
Synthace Cloud
1. Log onto your Synthace environment and under the Inventory menu, select Devices.
2. Find the correct device and click the Configuration button. Click on Add New Configuration and upload the generated .json file.
3. Click on Next to toggle over to the Liquid Class tab. Click on Download CSV File.
4. Replace proxy liquids for liquid classes with Undefined to Aqueous if any have undefined proxy liquids.
5. Add the edited CSV file to the device configuration by clicking Upload CSV File. Be sure to upload the CSV file even if no changes were made to the file. Click done.
