Overview
At Synthace, we have generated improved liquid class behavior for use on the Tecan Fluent. These have been tested and validated in our lab in London, and provide better increased maximum transfer sizes, optimized accuracy and improved liquid-level detection multi dispense behavior. To get this updated behavior, follow the guide below. This process should only take about 5 to 10 minutes.
Steps
1) Download the attached .zeia liquid class file at the bottom of the page. If you use RoboColumns with Synthace, download the Full LH class set. If you do not use RoboColumns with Synthace, download the Standard LH class set.
2) Open up Fluent Control.
3) Navigate to Database > Create restore point for complete data set and create a snapshot of your Fluent Control state.
4) Click Accept to create the data set.
5) For RoboColumns customers only: Find the two liquid classes SYNTHACE Robo Multi and SYNTHACE Robo Single. Delete each class from Fluent Control by right clicking on the liquid class and selecting Delete.
6) Go back to Database > Import.
7) Select the downloaded .zeia file from your PC and select open.
8) Click on the Liquid Classes and click Add without dependencies > Import.
9) Close Fluent Control.
10) Open SynthaceHub on the PC connected to your Fluent. Navigate to the Devices page and select CONFIGURATION TOOL underneath your device.
11) The Tecan Fluent Config Tool should open or at least appear in the bottom application tray - click on its icon to bring the window forward.
12) In the Configuration Tool, make sure the Base method is set to the SYNTHACE Base Method. Under the Worktable dropdown, select the name of your FluentControl worktable and click on Get config to generate a new config .json file.
13) Once complete, click on Save to file and save the .json configuration file to an easily accessible location.
14) Open Synthace in your browser and log in. Under the Inventory menu, select Devices.
15) Find the correct device and click the Configuration button. Click on Add New Configuration and upload the generated .json file.
16) Click on Next to toggle over to the Liquid Class tab. Click on Download CSV File.
17) Replace proxy liquids for RoboColumns liquid classes from Undefined to Robo and all other liquid classes with Undefined to Aqueous if any have undefined proxy liquids.
18) Add the edited CSV file to the device configuration by clicking Upload CSV File. Be sure to upload the CSV file even if no changes were made to the file. Click done.
