Tell Synthace about your Gilson PIPETMAX®

After you add a Gilson PIPETMAX® to Synthace, you must tell Synthace how the device is configured.

Import a plate type

If you want to run an execution on a Gilson PIPETMAX®, and TRILUTION® micro contains a plate type that Synthace does not, export the plate type from TRILUTION® micro, then import it to Synthace.

Export the plate type from TRILUTION® micro

  1. In TRILUTION® micro, click Start utility.

  2. Highlight Labware Creator, then click Accept.

  3. Click Create/Edit a Microplate.

  4. In Microplates, click Export. In Export, highlight the plate type that you want to export, then click Export.

Import the plate type to Synthace

  1. In Synthace, go to Inventory > Plate Types, then click +.

2. In the form that opens, click IMPORT FROM FILE.

  1. Locate and highlight the LHR file, then click Open.

  2. Complete the form, then OK.

Tip: The residual volume of a well is the volume of liquid that remains in the well after a liquid handler aspirates liquid from it. When a liquid handler transfers liquid to a well, it adds the residual volume of the well to the volume of liquid that it transfers.
