There are two core permission types and several advanced roles designed for configuration and program management.

Core Permissions

Tech User

Used by frontline teams in the mobile app to:

  • Complete workflows and procedures (e.g., Job Safety Assessments, LPAs)

  • Capture photos, videos, and field data

Common for: Technicians, Operators, Field Users

Admin

Used by managers in the web dashboard to:

  • Review submissions in real time via the Live Feed

  • Access analytics and reporting

Common for: Supervisors, Site Managers

Users can have both Tech and Admin permissions — often the case for leads or supervisors.

Group Access

All permissions are scoped by Group Access. Groups define which sites or departments a user can see and manage.

Each user’s profile includes:

  • Product Access (Tech, Admin, etc.)

  • Group Access (one or multiple groups)

This ensures users only interact with relevant data.

Advanced Permissions

Super Admin

For IT administrators and platform owners.

Allows access to the Client Admin Portal to:

  • Bulk create or edit users and groups

  • Manage overall configuration

Typically limited to IT or ANVL configuration leads.

Workflow Management

For Business Admins and program owners.

Enables creation and editing of workflow templates:

  • Add, edit, or tag questions

  • Adjust scoring and logic

  • Create or archive templates

Ideal for managing custom workflows and continuous improvement.

Risk Insights

Provides access to Insights AI for data-driven safety and risk analysis.

Used by leaders or analysts monitoring safety trends and performance metrics.

Assigning Advanced Permissions

Advanced permissions — Super Admin, Workflow Management, and Risk Insights — are managed per user. Please contact your Program Leader or support@anvl.com for access
