What are the Group Fields in the ANVL Admin Portal?

Group fields define how a Group behaves in ANVL. These fields are used in Group Management and Bulk Group Creation, and they affect site behavior, workflow deployment readiness, reporting, timing logic, and integration alignment.

Use this reference when you need to review, create, edit, or validate a Group in the ANVL Admin Portal.


Steps

  1. Open ANVL Insights.

  2. Select Welcome, [Your Name].

  3. Select Admin Portal.

  4. Open Group Management when reviewing or editing an existing Group.

  5. Open Bulk Group Creation when preparing a CSV upload for new Groups.

  6. Use the field reference below when:

    • reviewing Group settings

    • preparing bulk Group uploads

    • troubleshooting Group-related issues

    • confirming a Group is ready for workflow deployment

Group Fields

Field

Details / Guidance

ID

Unique numeric identifier for the Group (Site). Used for bulk actions, user assignment, and reporting.

Name

Display name for the Group (Site) shown to users across ANVL.

Time Zone

Must be entered in IANA time zone format (for example, America/Chicago). Controls workflow timing, notifications, and reporting cutoffs. Reference: Noda Time – Time Zones.

Emergency Name

Emergency contact name for the site, if configured.

Emergency Phone

Emergency contact phone number for the site, if configured.

Tags

Key:value metadata used for reporting and hierarchy. All Groups must include a groupType tag (for example: PROD, UAT,ARCHIVED).

Assessment Timeout

Time a workflow can remain In Progress before being marked Incomplete. Recommended default: 24 hours.

Assessment Add Note Timeout (Hours)

Time a user can add notes after completing a workflow. Recommended default: 12 hours.

Assessment Watch Threshold (Hours)

Time before a user appears as Yellow in the Daily Digest. Recommended default: 24 hours.

Assessment Warn Threshold (Hours)

Time before a user appears as Red in the Daily Digest. Recommended default: 48 hours.

Work Item Categories

Categories available for Work Folders in Work-First organizations only.

Workflow Categories

Required. Categories must exist before workflows can be deployed.

Updated At

Timestamp of the most recent update to the Group.

Created At

Timestamp when the Group was created.

Version

Internal version value used for system tracking.

Important notes

  • Workflow Categories are required before workflows can be published to a Group.

  • Work Item Categories only apply to Work-First organizations.

  • Tags are important for hierarchy, reporting, and deployment logic.

  • Incorrect Time Zone or timeout values can affect workflow behavior and reporting accuracy.

  • New Groups may need additional setup after creation before they are ready for live use.
