How Do I Delete a Published Workflow Template?

Safely remove a published workflow by coordinating with ANVL Support.

Written by Lauren Baird
Updated over a week ago

Published workflows cannot be deleted directly in the Workflow Editor. Deletion must be requested through ANVL Support and executed by the Benchmark Gensuite ANVL team. Once deleted, a published workflow cannot be recovered.

Only a Business Administrator (BA) may request deletion. If the request is submitted by a Workflow Manager, written BA approval must be included in the request.

Before proceeding, confirm the workflow is no longer required for operations, compliance, audits, or reporting. Historical access will be permanently lost.

Answer

A Business Administrator (or a Workflow Manager with written BA approval) must submit a deletion request to support@anvl.com. The Benchmark Gensuite ANVL Support team will review and execute the request.

Steps

  1. Confirm the workflow is no longer needed and has internal approval for deletion.

  2. Ensure the requester is either:

    • The Business Administrator, or

    • A Workflow Manager with written BA approval attached.

  3. Gather the required information:

    • Workflow Template name (exact name)

    • Site(s) from which it should be removed

    • Requested removal date/time

    • Explicit confirmation that deletion is permanent

    • Written BA approval (if requester is not the BA)

  4. Send the request to support@anvl.com.

  5. Wait for confirmation from the Benchmark Gensuite ANVL Support team.

Deletion timing may vary based on request volume and complexity.
