Answer
Delete a Workflow Category only after everything using that category has been moved out of it. Workflow Categories are required for workflow deployment and publishing, so deleting one too early can block publishing or leave workflows misaligned.
Before deleting a category, you must:
re-publish any workflows currently using that category into a different Workflow Category
submit a support request to archive any workflows still tied to the category
wait for confirmation that archiving is complete
Deletion cannot be undone.
Steps
Re-publish all workflows currently assigned to the category into a different Workflow Category.
Submit a request to ANVL Support or Help Me to archive any workflows that still remain in the category you want to delete.
Wait for confirmation that archiving is complete.
Do not continue until support confirms the archive step is finished.
Open ANVL Insights.
Select Welcome, [Your Name].
Select Admin Portal.
Open Group Management.
Search for or locate the Group you want to update.
Scroll to the Workflow Categories column.
Click into the Workflow Categories cell for that Group.
Hover over the category row you want to delete.
Select the trash can icon.
Select Save.
Wait for the table to refresh.
Confirm the category was removed successfully.
Important notes
Do not delete a category that is still being used by active workflows.
Reassign first, archive second, delete last.
Workflow Category deletion is a live change at the Group level.
If you are unsure whether workflows are still tied to the category, verify that before deleting it.
