Using ANVL in a Browser

In addition to the mobile app, ANVL can be used directly in a web browser, making it ideal for fixed facilities, shared workstations, and kiosk-style setups.

Most features are the same as the mobile experience, with a few key differences.

Accessing ANVL in a Browser

Users can launch ANVL from:

  • The Benchmark Gensuite My Home page, or

  • The Apps menu by searching for ANVL Workflows

ANVL opens in a new browser tab and automatically signs users in (SSO supported).

Note: ANVL Insights (Manager Dashboard) is a separate experience and covered in other training.

Browser Navigation

Instead of mobile tiles, the browser experience uses a left-side navigation rail:

  • Workflows – Start and complete procedures

  • Assignments – View required and recurring workflows

  • My ANVL Dashboard – Log and track concerns

  • Vault – Access reference documents and content

  • Support – Help Center and support resources

The layout uses more screen space, making it well suited for desktops and kiosks.

Workflows in the Browser

Workflows function the same as on mobile:

  • Step-by-step guided experience

  • Dynamic questions and logic

  • Fully customizable per organization

  • Time- and date-stamped responses

Workflow lists are dynamic and change based on:

  • User permissions

  • Site or location selection

  • Organizational setup

Incident & Data Capture

The browser experience supports key data capture features:

  • Text-based responses

  • Dropdowns and classifications

  • File and photo uploads (from device)

  • Conditional follow-up questions

Since browsers can’t take photos directly, users upload images instead of capturing them live.

Incident Management Integration

Workflows completed in the browser (such as First Reports of Incident) automatically create records in Benchmark Gensuite Incident Management.

This allows EHS and operations leaders to:

  • Review incident details immediately

  • Add photos, investigations, and corrective actions

  • Continue follow-up without re-entering data
