How Offline Mode Works

ANVL automatically detects your connection.

  • When you lose internet signal, the app switches to offline mode

  • A yellow bar appears at the bottom of the screen indicating you’re offline

  • No action is required—just keep using the app as normal

What You Can Do Offline

While offline, you can:

  • Start and complete workflows

  • Answer questions

  • Capture photos and videos

  • Use checklists and reference content

The experience is the same as online.

Syncing Your Work

When you return to an area with internet access:

  1. Open the ANVL app

  2. Look for a gray sync bar on the screen

  3. Keep the app open until the bar disappears

Once syncing is complete, your workflows become visible to supervisors and EHS leaders.

Important: Work completed offline is not visible to others until the app syncs.

Best Practices for Offline Use

  • Avoid staying offline for multiple days at a time

  • Do not force close the app while offline

  • Do not clear app cache or storage before syncing

  • Open the app regularly to allow data to sync

Data yet to sync is stored locally on your device and can be lost if the app is closed, deleted, or cleared.

Before Entering a Low-Connectivity Area

If you know you’ll be working without internet:

  • Open the ANVL app ahead of time

  • Allow workflows, folders, and content to fully load

  • Stay signed in before losing connectivity

This helps prevent login issues when offline.

In Summary

  • ANVL switches to offline mode automatically

  • Work normally while offline

  • Open the app when reconnected to sync your data

  • Syncing ensures your work is visible and secure
