Step 1: Create a Team
Before assigning work to a team, you need to define the team.
Navigate to the Users tab in the ANVL web app
Select the new “Teams” option
Click Add Team
Enter a Team Name (e.g., “Safety Department”)
Select the users to include in the team
Click Save
✅ You now have a reusable group of users for assignments
Optional: Manage Teams
Edit a team → Select checkbox → Click Modify
Deactivate a team if no longer needed
Step 2: Create a Team Assignment
Once your team is created, you can assign workflows to the entire group.
Go to the Assignments Dashboard
Click Create Assignment
Select a Workflow (e.g., Job Site Inspection)
In the assignee section, choose:
Team instead of individual users
Select the desired Team
OPTIONAL: Create Scheduled Assignment:
Go to Manage Schedules & Create Scheduled Assignment
Select:
Workflow
Team
Configure:
Frequency (daily, weekly, etc.)
Start/Due timing
Add message (optional)
Save schedule
Step 3: Configure Team Completion Mode
When assigning to a team, you’ll see a new option:
Team Completion Mode
Every user on the team is required to complete the workflow individually
Round Robin assigning may come in a future release, let us know if you'd like to see that!
👉 Example:
If 3 users are on the team → all 3 must complete the assignment
Step 4: Set Assignment Details
Add a Due Date
(Optional) Add a Message/Instructions
Click Create Assignment
Step 5: View Assignment in Dashboard
After creation, the assignment will display:
Assigned Team name
Individual assignees (team members)
Assignment status and message
Mobile Experience (Frontline Worker)
On the mobile app:
Navigate to Assignments
Team assignments are marked with a team/persona icon
Tap the assignment to view details:
Shows team name
Indicates all team members must complete it
Tap Start and complete the workflow
Key Behavior to Remember
At this time, team assignments = NOT shared completion
They are duplicated per user
Each team member must complete their own workflow
When to Use Team Assignments
Best for:
Recurring inspections
Daily safety checks
Layered process audits
Standardized processes across a crew/team
