Why It Matters

  • Reduces manual assignment creation

  • Ensures required workflows are assigned consistently

  • Supports long-term and recurring compliance activities

When to Do This

  • Assigning the same workflow on a recurring basis

  • Scheduling work in advance

  • Assigning workflows to multiple users at once

What Recurring Assignments Are

  • Recurring assignments are called Schedules in ANVL Manager

  • A Schedule automatically creates assignments based on:

    • Frequency

    • Assignee(s)

    • Date range

  • One Schedule can generate many assignments over time

Steps: Create or Manage a Schedule

  1. Log in to ANVL Manager (insights.anvl.com).

  2. Select Assignments.

  3. Select Manage Schedules.

  4. Create Schedule to add a new recurring assignment

  5. Enter or update the Schedule details.

  6. Select Create Schedule.

Schedule Configuration Options

Frequency

  • Daily

  • Weekday only

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Annually

Number of Workflows

  • Set how many instances of the workflow are assigned each cycle

  • Example:

    • Daily + 3 workflows = 3 assignments created each day

Assignee

  • One user or multiple users

  • All assignees receive assignments created by the Schedule

Work Item (Optional)

  • Associate the Schedule to an existing Work Item

  • Leave blank if no Work Item is required

Date Range

  • Defines how long the Schedule runs

  • Controls how many assignments are generated over time

Create Assignment Now (Optional)

  • Immediately creates the first assignment

  • Useful for future schedules that need early visibility

Expire on Due Date (Optional)

  • Prevents late submissions

  • Assignment expires immediately after the due date

Notifications

  • Users receive summary emails based on due dates

  • If multiple assignments are due, users receive one combined email

Watch Out For…

  • Schedules create live assignments

  • Expired assignments cannot be submitted late

  • Changes to a Schedule affect future assignments, not past ones
