Answer
Collaborative Workflows allow multiple users to complete different sections of the same workflow by passing work between collaborators and requesting approvals when required. Instead of a single user completing the entire workflow, responsibility can move between team members based on their role in the process.
Collaborative Workflows use two question types to support collaboration:
Handoff questions transfer ownership of the workflow to another user so they can complete the next section.
Approval questions allow an assigned reviewer to approve or deny the workflow before work continues or the workflow is completed.
This functionality helps organizations support real-world processes involving frontline workers, supervisors, EHS leaders, and other reviewers while maintaining a complete record of the workflow
Steps
A user starts a Collaborative Workflow from the Frontline Operations mobile app.
The user completes their assigned section of the workflow.
When a Handoff question is reached, the user assigns the workflow to the next collaborator.
The assigned collaborator receives an email and text notification with a link to continue the workflow.
Each collaborator can review information captured in previous workflow sections before completing their assigned tasks.
Collaborators continue completing their assigned sections until all required work is complete.
If an Approval question is included, the assigned approver reviews the workflow and selects Approved or Not Approved.
Once completed, the workflow is available for review, and managers can monitor its status from Live Feed.
