Purpose

Resend a Welcome Email so a new user can receive a fresh temporary password if they did not log in within 24 hours of account creation.

When to Use This

  • A new user reports they cannot log in

  • The original Welcome Email has expired (24-hour limit)

  • The user has never logged in before

Prerequisites

  • You have permission to manage users

  • The user account already exists in ANVL

  • The user has not logged in previously

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Users tab.

  2. Use the search bar to locate the user who needs a new Welcome Email.

  3. Select the checkbox to the left of the user’s name.

  4. Open the Actions menu and select Modify User.

  5. On the User Profile screen, click Resend Welcome Email (upper-right corner).

Important Notes

  • If Resend Welcome Email does not appear, the user has logged in before.

  • In that case, the user must use Forgot Password to reset their credentials.

  • Welcome Emails include the username and a temporary password and are valid for 24 hours only.

  • If the user doesn't receive the Welcome email, verify that their email address is correct in their ANVL account. If not, update it, and then resend the Welcome email.
