How do I access and download content from the Vault?

View and download files from the Vault so you can access content on your device, including when offline.

Why It Matters

  • The Vault stores important files and links shared with your site

  • Vault content is designed to be accessed online

  • Downloading files allows you to keep a copy for offline use


What You Need to Know First

  • Files (PDFs, documents, videos, etc.) can be downloaded

  • Links cannot be downloaded to your device

  • Links require an internet connection to open


When to Do This

  • You need access to a file while offline

  • You want to save or share a document from the Vault

  • You are reviewing site resources on your device


Steps by Device


iOS (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open the Vault.

  2. Select the content you want to access.
    Note: Links cannot be downloaded.

  3. Select the Export icon (box with an arrow).

  4. Choose one option:

    • Save to Files to store it on your device

    • Share via email, messaging, or a cloud app

  5. To view saved files, open the Files app.


Android

  1. Open the Vault.

  2. Select the content you want to access.
    Note: Links cannot be downloaded.

  3. Select the More options icon (three dots).

  4. Choose one option:

    • Save to device

    • Share via email, messaging, or a cloud app

  5. Open your device’s Files app to view saved content.


Web (Windows or workflows.anvl.com)

  1. Open the Vault.

  2. Select the content you want to access.
    Note: Links cannot be downloaded.

  3. The file will download automatically.

  4. Open your device’s Downloads folder.

  5. From there, you can:

    • Open the file

    • Save it elsewhere

    • Share or delete it


Watch Out For…

  • Links cannot be downloaded for offline use

  • Downloaded files may become outdated if the original file is updated

  • Vault content must be accessed online before downloading


What You Should See

  • Files open or download successfully

  • Saved files available on your device

  • Links opening in a browser when online
