What does it cost to change my payment plan?

Both payment plan options carry a fee. This article explains how it is calculated, when it is charged, and where you can see it.

Written by Robert Fischer

You always see the fee before you confirm

The exact fee is shown to you on screen before you confirm anything. Nothing is charged and nothing changes on your plan until you tap the final confirmation button.

How the fee is calculated

There is no fixed price. The fee depends on your remaining balance and how long your plan runs after the change.

The fee is calculated so that the total cost of credit across your plan corresponds to a set annual percentage rate (ÅOP). You can find the rate that applies to your plan in your credit agreement.

Two things follow from this:

  • Two shoppers who push in the same month can pay very different amounts

  • Changing your monthly amount is usually more expensive than pushing, because it covers a much longer extension of your plan

If you have several orders, the fee is divided between them. Depending on the costs already attached to each order, you may see no fee on one order and a fee on another. What matters is the total, which is always shown to you before you confirm.

When the fee is charged

If you push your plan forward: the fee is charged on the last banking day of the current month. If your payment is already overdue when you push, we attempt the charge immediately, so you may see a payment on the same day.

If you change your monthly amount: the fee is divided evenly across your new instalments. You will see it as small fee amounts inside each future payment rather than as one charge.

Where you can see the fee

On your order overview, the fee appears as either "Push Fees" or "Restructure Fees", depending on which option you used.

The booked amount can differ from the preview by a few øre due to rounding.

Does this increase what I pay in total?

Yes. Both options add a fee to your plan, so you will repay more in total than you would have without the change. Changing your monthly amount also extends your plan, which increases the total further.

Tax

The fees for both options are administration fees and are therefore not tax-deductible. In Denmark, only establishment fees qualify for a tax deduction.

Reminder fees and late fees

Neither option waives, moves, or refunds a reminder fee (rykkergebyr) or a late fee. These must be paid separately, and any recent reminder fee also affects whether you can change your plan at all. See "Why can't I change my payments?" for more on this.

What if my order is refunded after I change my plan?

The fee for changing your plan is not automatically refunded if one of your orders is refunded afterwards. If this applies to you, please contact our support team.
