⚠️ Even in Sweden, you can only add a co-borrower if our credit team determines it's needed for your application. It's not something you can choose to do on your own — if we haven't asked you to, this option won't be available in the app.
If we've asked you to add a co-borrower, you do this directly in the Anyfin app: enter the person's personal identity number, email address, and a few details about their finances. A co-borrower shares responsibility for the loan with you, which can make it possible for us to give you an offer we otherwise couldn't.
Who can be a co-borrower?
Your co-borrower must meet at least one of the following:
Live in the same household as you
Be married to you
Be related to you
Already share the loan with you at your current lender
How do I add a co-borrower?
In the Anyfin app, choose to add a co-borrower where we've asked you to.
Enter your co-borrower's personal identity number.
Answer a few questions about your co-borrower's finances: marital status, income, source of income, and existing debt.
Enter your co-borrower's email address so we can contact them.
Submit the application. We'll then run a new credit assessment based on your combined finances.
Your co-borrower will get an email letting them know they've been added to the application. If we can make you an offer, you'll both need to accept the terms and sign electronically in your own separate Anyfin apps before you're jointly listed as borrowers on the loan.
Do you need to send anything else?
If we need to verify your co-borrower's income, you can upload their latest payslip (or their last three, if they're paid hourly) directly to the application in your Anyfin app, or send it to us by email.
What does it mean to be a co-borrower?
You share responsibility for the loan equally — you're both obligated to pay it back. Invoices and information about the loan are sent to you as the main borrower, but your co-borrower is just as legally responsible as you are.
