The Referrals feature lets you create and manage a simple referral program where customers can refer friends and earn rewards.
Beyond client engagement, you can also recognize your employees through auto-bonusing. Each time a referral is earned, Applause can automatically reward the employee who made it happen.
How to set it up
Go to Referrals > Settings to configure your referral program.
Customize your referral card with a title, description, button text, and cover image. A live preview shows how it will appear, and you can set notification emails for new referrals.
Customers who click your referral card will see a short, customizable form to submit their details.
If your business operates in multiple locations, Applause also allows you to manage referral forms by location, ensuring the right team gets notified and follows up efficiently.
Additional Value:
Add in emails to the your "Notifications" section in Referrals to be notified immediately, so you can reach out to the referred person, and get set-up for your services!
Go to Bonuses > settings to enable an Auto Bonus that sends to your technicians if a Referral is earned.

Q: How do I set this up?
A: You can configure the messaging and set up your referral content directly from the Referrals page. To actively launch and send out referrals, click connect with our support team to request that Referrals be enabled on your account. You can also reach out to your customer success manager, who can also help activate this.
Our team will activate the feature and help tailor it based on the offer you’d like to provide to customers, that refer a friend.
Note:
When Referrals is enabled, it will take priority and replace the “Tipping” feature, and will display to "happy" customers who leave a high enough NPS score.
