Posting a Hybrid or Remote Role?
Follow these guidelines to make sure your jobs appear in the right searches on job board sites.

Fully Remote Roles
A fully remote job is one that can be performed entirely from home, without the need for regular commutes to an office or job site. This could be because there’s no physical location to report to, or because you’re open to candidates working from anywhere.

To ensure your job is tagged as remote, your job description must include one of these phrases:

  • “This is a remote position”

  • “Fully remote”

  • “100% remote”

Hybrid Roles
A hybrid job combines on-site and remote work, typically within the same week. The schedule may be determined by the employer or left to the employee’s discretion.

To be tagged as hybrid, your job description should include one of these phrases:

  • “Hybrid remote/in-office”

  • “Hybrid work schedule”

  • “Work from home X days per week”

Work-from-Home Flexibility
Some primarily in-person jobs offer occasional work-from-home days as a perk. These are not considered remote or hybrid roles, but the benefit can still be highlighted in the job posting.

If you offer this flexibility, use one of the following phrases:

  • “Flexibility to work from home as needed”

  • “Work from home days possible”

  • “Ability to occasionally work from home”

Fully Remote with Location Restrictions
If your remote job is limited to candidates in certain areas, include both the remote designation and the location details in your XML feed:

  • Example 1: <remotetype>Fully remote + <state>Texas → “Remote in Texas”

  • Example 2: <remotetype>Fully remote + <city>Atlanta + <state>Georgia → “Remote in Atlanta, GA”
