Note: This is ONLY available in the New Look. By enabling this feature, you will lose access to the Classic Look.

When Custom User Types & Permissions is enabled, you'll now see Default User Types and Custom User Types in your Settings Page

Creating Custom User Types provides the following:

  • Granular Control & Flexibility - Customers can define custom user types with precise permissions to match their unique organizational needs.

  • Increased Security - This limits access to functions based on user responsibilities and reduces risk by granting access where needed.

  • Improved Efficiency - Streamline work flows by ensuring users only see and interact with what they need.

  • Scalability - Easily manage permissions as teams grow and roles evolve, quickly configuring permissions in a user-friendly interface. This is particularly relevant to support a job approval process (specifying who can create, edit or publish job postings), restrict recruiters or external agencies access to specific job actions, allow hiring managers to review applications but not edit candidate details, grant admin teams access to publish job postings and review offer letters without allowing to message or move candidates through the hiring process.

Creating a User Type:

  1. Click on "+ Create User Type" on the top right corner of your screen

2. Provide a name for the specific User Type and toggle ON the features that you would like to have this user have access to and select "Create User Type" on the bottom right to save

3. Assign the new role by adding a new user or editing a current user
