πŸ†• Studio > Add multiple assessments within a single learning path using assessment modules

πŸ€” What’s new?

The addition of assessment modules now lets you:

  • πŸ‹οΈ Easily alternate between training modules and assessment modules – helping to maintain learner engagement while regularly checking their progress. Training modules can now be followed by assessments to measure knowledge acquisition.

  • 🎯 Evaluate learners on their knowledge – With targeted assessments, you can test acquired knowledge at various points in the learning path. This gives you a clear view of learner progress and lets you adapt your content if needed.

  • πŸŽ“ Add a final assessment at the end of a program – At the end of your learning path, you can include a final assessment to validate the entire journey. This can be configured with a minimum score to ensure that learners have met the expected skill level before receiving their certificate.

βš™οΈ How to add an assessment module to your learning path

Step 1. In the Studio, when adding a new module to your project, select "Assessment Module"

Step 2. When creating an assessment module, you can define:

  • A maximum time limit for the assessment

  • A minimum passing score for learners

ℹ️ The number of attempts is unlimited by default, so learners are never blocked from continuing their training

Step 3. Once the assessment module is created, you can add Exercise Granules

πŸ”Ž Focus on the minimum score

  • If the module has no minimum score, the learner will validate the module regardless of success or failure on the exercises. It is marked as complete once any attempt is submitted.

  • If the module has no minimum score but is part of a publication with progressive unlocking, the learner can continue as long as they’ve submitted an attempt, regardless of score.

  • If the module requires a minimum score and is part of a progressively unlocked publication, the learner must pass the assessment before they can continue.

πŸ“Š Assessment reporting

πŸ‘‰ In the Studio/Administration

Assessment modules come with detailed tracking:

  • Progress statistics – Each module is tracked independently with its ID, score, and duration

  • Detailed results – Access granular assessment data for better performance analysis

πŸ‘‰ From the learner’s perspective

  • The validation status of the assessment is recorded as soon as the learner completes it

  • This status will not change, even if the passing score is modified later by an admin or designer

πŸ’‘ We recommend setting the passing score during module creation to ensure consistency in your learning paths

βš™οΈ How to add a final assessment module to your learning program

Looking to add a final assessment at the end of your program? You can! πŸ‘Œ

πŸ‘‰ Here's how:

Step 1. Create a new project that contains only one assessment module

Step 2. Configure your assessment module with:

  • A maximum duration

A minimum passing score

ℹ️ Reminder: The number of attempts is unlimited

Step 3. Add exercise granules to the module

Step 4. If your program is already created, publish this project at the end of the path so learners can validate their knowledge before completing their journey

πŸ‘‰ Sample program structure with a final assessment module

  • Publication 1: Contains e-learning and/or in-person training modules

  • Publication 2: Contains more training content

  • Publication 3: Contains a dedicated assessment module

πŸ”Ž Focus on the minimum score:

  • If the module does not require a minimum score, the learner will be able to validate their assessment module regardless of the results obtained in the exercises. The module will be marked as completed as soon as an attempt is submitted.

  • If the module does not require a minimum score but is included in a publication with progressive unlocking, the learner will be able to continue their training as soon as the attempt is completed, regardless of the score.

  • If the module has a minimum score requirement and is included in a publication with progressive unlocking, the learner will not be able to continue their training until they have passed the assessment module.

πŸ“Š Assessment data exports

For an assessment module placed at the end of a program, the available data includes:

  • Progress statistics: includes the module ID, score, and duration of the assessment.

  • Detailed assessment results: includes specific performance data for each evaluation.
