Products Dashboard: Sales & Advertising Overview

The Sales & Advertising tab is the first sub-tab in the Products Dashboard. We’ll cover the remaining sub-tabs later, so don’t worry. Just like in the main Dashboard, you can choose between line charts for a visual overview or delve into raw numbers with a single click. Most importantly, you’ll find a full performance breakdown for each of your individual products below.

1. Standard and Custom Metrics

  • Standard Metrics: The dashboard includes all the key metrics you expect, such as total sales, units sold, profit, ACOS, ad spend, and more.

  • Custom Metrics: Astra stands out with its innovative custom metrics, like TACOS per ASIN (Total ACOS) and Ad Sales Share. These metrics give you a more holistic view of your business by combining sales and advertising data.

    • Why Custom Metrics Matter:

      • ACOS and ROAS: These standard metrics tell you how well your ads are performing but don’t give the full picture.

      • TACOS and Ad Sales Share: These custom metrics help you determine if you're relying too heavily on ads for sales. For instance, if your Ad Sales Share is too high, it might be time to boost organic sales. Similarly, a high TACOS suggests your overall profitability might be suffering due to a lack of organic sales.

    • Making Smarter Decisions: By combining sales and ad data, custom metrics like TACOS and Ad Sales Share empower you to make more informed business decisions.

2. Visualizing Data and Analysis

  • Graphing Product-Level Data: To pull up a graph for a specific product, click on the relevant section and select your desired metrics and time frame. You can also view a numeric breakdown in a more traditional P&L format.

  • Dual Metrics: Analyze up to two metrics simultaneously to gain deeper insights.

  • Date Aggregation: View data by days, weeks, or months for a flexible analysis.

  • Period Comparison: Compare current data with previous periods to identify trends.

  • ASIN or Title Filter: Easily find products using their ASINs or titles.

3. Astra's Dual Role: PPC and Analytics Platform

Though Astra is primarily a PPC platform, it doubles as a powerful analytics tool, providing insights into how your products perform through both organic and sponsored sales. The algorithm imports data from Amazon's reports to display them in the Sales & Advertising section.

4. Key Features for Analysis

  • Compare Products: See how your products stack up against each other within a product group.

  • Strategy Insights: Review and refine your product strategies based on performance data.

  • Custom Fields: Add notes next to ASINs with customizable fields to organize and highlight important product information. For more detailed information, refer to the article on custom fields.

  • Profit Analytics: Gain insights into how your products perform financially using data from Amazon's Settlement Reports.

5. How to Check ACOS for Your Products

Checking your ACOS is crucial for optimizing your ACOS Target Strategies. Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the Sales & Advertising section.

  2. Select the product group or strategy from the drop-down menu on the upper left.

  3. Choose the last 30 days in the date picker.

  4. Click on ACOS on the board to see the daily values on the chart.

This data helps you set realistic ACOS targets for your strategies.

6. Additional Features

  • Product Timeline Events: Track changes to an ASIN, such as parent ASIN changes, title, brand, image, reviews, review score, price, category, and BSR changes.

  • Cost of Goods: Ensure each product in your catalog has an entered cost of goods for accurate profitability analysis.

7. Recommendations

  • No Product Group: Compare and group products based on similar performance metrics.

  • Existing Product Groups: Regularly compare products within a group to ensure they belong together.

By following these steps and utilizing these tools, you can make informed decisions to optimize your product strategies and profitability.
