Image Conflict Issues

Updated over 2 months ago

On occasion, the metadata in images can become corrupted, especially if you have used image editing software. When this happens, these images can create issues when publishing, such as misprints or validation issues.

Atticus protects you by sending a warning about images with metadata issues and other problems preventing you from uploading problematic images.

If you’ve gotten a warning message, don’t worry– this is an easy issue to fix using free online software like Canva to clean your image. It takes less than five minutes.

Step 1: Log in to Your Canva Account

  • If you don’t have an account, it’s free! Plus, Canva is an incredible resource to use when publishing your books.

Step 2: Click on “Upload”, and upload your image

Step 3: After your image is uploaded, click on “Edit image”

Step 4: Click on the “Download” button, and download your image

Step 5: Reupload your image to Atticus. This time, it should be cleaned, and should work without any issue.
