Overview

Link Click Tracking enables you to see which contacts are engaging with your emails by clicking on links. When enabled, the Email Insights report will show detailed click data, including:

  • Which contacts clicked your links

  • How many times each link was clicked

  • Which links received the most engagement

Why tracking clicks is important

  • Gauge Interest: Identify what content or offers your audience finds most compelling.

  • Improve Conversions: Use click behavior to retarget high-intent contacts or A/B test your CTAs.

  • Measure Campaign Performance: Know which links are performing and which aren’t.

  • Segment Based on Engagement: Create targeted segments based on who clicks on what.

  • Optimize Future Emails: Learn and improve with each campaign based on real interaction data.

This data is incredibly valuable for measuring subscriber interest, optimizing content strategy, and making data-driven decisions for future campaigns.

How to turn link click tracking on/off (on by default)

  1. Go to Create > Email

  2. Enable the ‘Link Click Tracking’ toggle

After your email is sent, access click data under Email Insights

Note: If A/B testing is enabled, you will not be able to disable click tracking.

Types of links

Tracked

Not Tracked

  • Website URLs

  • Social media links

  • Send Email (mailto:)

  • Make a Call (tel:)

  • Send SMS (sms:)

Dedicated link tracking (arep.ink)

When Link Click Tracking is enabled, your URLs are transformed into unique tracking links using our domain: arep.ink.

  • These links allow us to measure clicks while seamlessly redirecting users to your original URLs.

  • When hovering over a link in the email, you’ll see the arep.ink version, but once clicked, users will be routed to your intended destination.

If Link Click Tracking is disabled, your links will remain unchanged—and we won’t be able to track any clicks from the email.

What happens when link click tracking is off?

  • Your message may be delivered slightly faster

  • However, click activity will not be tracked

  • You will lose visibility into how contacts are interacting with your content
