Create, edit and duplicate a message

Learn how to navigate the Messages tab, and easily create or duplicate messages.

Messaging tab overview

  • Overview: Get a quick snapshot of all your messaging activity. This tab provides a high-level summary at a glance.

  • Sent: Access all previously sent messages in one place, making it easy to review and reference past communications.

  • Sending: Monitor outgoing messages in real-time. Stay up to date with the progress of your emails or SMS campaigns as they’re being sent.

  • Drafts: Save and manage unfinished messages. This is your workspace for content that’s still in progress.

  • Scheduled: Plan ahead with scheduled messages. This tab shows all upcoming broadcasts, helping you stay organized and timely.

  • Archived: Keep a record of deleted or archived messages for future reference or audits.

  • Failed/Cancelled: Track messages that didn’t send or were cancelled. Use this tab to troubleshoot issues and manage any failed communications.


How to create a message

  1. Go to Messaging and select the Messages tab.

  2. Click New Message, then choose either Email or SMS from the drop-down menu.

  3. Follow the prompts:

    • Name your message with a clear, specific title (e.g., NYE Promotion – 12/26/25).

    • Select your recipient list and apply filters to narrow your audience if needed.

    • Confirm the "From" email address (Sender) and optionally link the message to an event in your account to track ticket sale conversions.

    • Add a subject line (required) and a preview line (optional).

      • Starting from scratch

      • Using an existing template

      • Importing your own HTML

    • Enable A/B testing if you want to compare different subject lines or message content.

    • Send a test email to yourself to make sure everything looks and works as expected.

  4. When you're ready, choose to either send immediately or schedule it for later.


How to duplicate an email or SMS

  1. In Messaging, locate the message you want to duplicate.

  2. Click the icon next to it.

  3. Select Duplicate.
