A common question we receive is how to update the sender name or physical address shown in the email footer.

Why can’t I edit the footer directly in the email builder?

The inbuilt footer automatically pulls sender details from your List Settings.
Because of this, the footer cannot be edited directly inside the email builder.

This setup ensures:

  • Compliance with email marketing regulations

  • Consistent sender details across campaigns

  • Accurate unsubscribe and business information


How to Update Your Sender Name or Address

To edit the details shown in your footer:

  1. Go to Lists

  2. Click the three dots () next to the relevant list

  3. Select List Settings

  4. Update the Sender Name and/or Address fields as needed

  5. Click Save

Once saved, the footer will automatically reflect the updated information in your emails.


Example: Removing a Duplicate Business Name

If you notice the sender name appearing twice in the footer, this means the duplication exists in your List Settings. Simply edit the Sender Name field to remove the duplicate entry and save your changes.
