Navigating your Master Schedule and Hiring Needs

The Master Schedule, Your Bible for 'All things Hiring'

At First Glance:

  • At first, you can view an excel-like list view of all employees master rotations by either scrolling or using the search bar on top to search for a specific employee

  • Use the filter dropdowns to select a specific, Shift, Unit and position

  • Each ‘X’ reflects a scheduled shift a double ‘XX’ reflects a scheduled double shift

  • To quickly edit an employee's master rotation just select the ‘Edit Schedule’ button

{To edit an existing schedule just select the ‘edit’ icon, to delete a scheduled shift just select the ‘trash can’ icon and lastly to add a double shift click the ‘plus’ icon.}


Now we will show you how to best and most practically utilize this tab.

This is your bible when it comes to all thing hiring. For both, knowing your hiring needs, as well as the schedules to offer your potential new hires.

  1. Now you can filter for any mix you are looking for, by shift, unit and position

  2. In most cases for hiring purposes you will only look at the shift and position filters

  3. On the bottom left, you will see the words ‘unhide suggestions’ - click on this to open the pop-up

    Here you will see two things:

    1. On the bottom you will see your hiring needs. This is your total number of full-time and part-time needs open for this specific shift and position

    2. On top of your hiring needs, we see the breakdown day-by-day for your entire rotation cycle. The number on the right is your total needs, and on the left the number employees you have for these days.

      This is what will tell you which shifts to offer your potential new hires.
