If Cliniko is your primary practice management software, please follow the steps below to generate an API key in Cliniko and connect it to your Avaana dashboard. This will enable you to seamlessly sync your practitioners and their availability with Avaana.

1. Log into your Administrator account on Cliniko. Once logged in, click on your name at the bottom left of your screen and click on 'My Info'.

2. Under API keys, click Manage API keys. (If you do not have this option available, you will need to click on the 'Allow yourself to create and use API keys' button and update your user profile first)

3. You'll now be brought to the API Keys Page. From here, click Add an API Key:

4. You can then add a unique name for your API Key to identify it in the future (i.e. Avaana API)

5. Once you click Create API Key, you'll now see a long string of letters and numbers. This is your API key. Click on Copy and ensure it has been copied as the key won't display again.

6. Once you have copied the key, return to your Avaana dashboard and navigate to Calendar Integration.

7. Select Cliniko from the dropdown menu, and paste the API key into API key field. See screenshot below for guidance.

8. Once the API key has been entered, click Save Changes. Your integration will start to sync and should reflect your practitioner and service information within a few minutes.

If the sync is not successful and you are not able to see practitioner and service information within a few minutes on the same page, please contact our Support Team.
