What Version of Adobe Illustrator do you need to install the Backbone Plug-In: Adobe Illustrator Version 26 or higher.
How to manage AI images in Backbone once uploaded through the Plugin:
All artboards in the AI file will map to Backbone as Images. Only assets which live on artboards will sync as images to Backbone.
*Note: If you have extra assets in your AI file which you don’t want to sync to Backbone, we recommend moving those assets to the margins of the file: see recording.
If, after uploading them, you wish to include some but exclude other artboards from the same Source File, mark the ones you wish to exclude ‘inactive’ and leave the others ‘active’.
* Note: Inactive images will not appear on any Tech Packs or Reports
Why isn’t my data from Backbone being reflected in the Plugin?
If you just added data or changed data in Backbone and are experiencing difficulties with it not being reflected in the Plugin, it's likely that all that's needed is to “refresh” the Plugin in order for the changes to pull through.
*Note there is no refresh button per se, but if you open a different record and then navigate back to the record you updated, you will trigger a refresh.
