Before you begin, if you have extra assets in your AI file which you don’t want to sync to Backbone, we recommend moving those assets to the margins of the file (not on an art board) as only assets which live on art boards will sync as images to Backbone.
Open up Adobe illustrator with the file containing your art boards and illustrations.
Select the art board tool by pressing the keys Shift+O
While using the art board tool, click on the art board with the illustrations you no longer wish to include.
The art board should now be outlined in a blue box
Press the delete button on your keyboard
This deletes the art board and not the artwork on top of it.
Open up the Backbone Plugin within Illustrator and upload your updated .ai file to reflect the art board changes.
After uploading them, if you wish to exclude certain art boards from the same Source File, mark the ones you wish to exclude ‘inactive’ and leave the others ‘active’. These inactive images will not appear in any Tech Packs or Reports but they will remain within your Backbone account within the ‘inactive’ images section.
