Credit system overview

Learn how Banani's credit system works

Updated over a week ago

Credits are used to generate and edit screens using AI. Every time you send a prompt that results in a successful generation or edit, one credit is used.

TL;DR

1 interaction with AI that results in a successful design generation counts as 1 credit. You have a total maximum amount of credits depending on your plan, and daily/monthly refills.

You can always view your credit balance and refills schedule on credits page.

What counts as 1 credit

  • Generating a new screen with AI

  • Editing screen with AI

If a generation fails or produces no result, no credit is deducted. You're only charged for successful outputs.

All manual editing features like text editing, changing design tokens, and rearranging things on the canvas don't count as credits. Those are free actions you can do anytime.

Daily vs. monthly credits

You have a total balance of credits. And there are two moments when they are refilled: daily and monthly.

Daily credits refresh every day at midnight your local time. Unused daily credits roll over and accumulate, up to the max credits cap for your plan.

Monthly credits are granted at the start of each billing cycle. Monthly credits do not roll over to the next month.

Your max credits cap limits how many total credits you can hold at once from combined daily rollovers + monthly credits.

Example (Free plan)

You get 5 daily credits and 20 monthly credits, with a cap of 20.

  • Day 0: You start with 20 credits (20 monthly). You use 11, leaving 9.

  • Day 1: You get 5 daily credits, bringing you back to 14. You don't use any.

  • Day 2: 5 more daily credits, now 19.

  • Day 3: 5 more daily would be 24, but the cap on a free plan is 20, so you max out at 20.
