What is the Appointments section in Barti?

The Appointments section is where you schedule and manage patient appointments, review online booking requests, configure your public availability, and view your schedule. It has four main areas: Calendar, Schedule, Requests, and Availability.

Who this is for: All Barti users who schedule or manage patient appointments.

Calendar

The Calendar gives you a comprehensive view of all appointments. You can customize the view to show exactly what's relevant to you.

View options

  • Week — the default view, showing Sunday through Saturday.

  • Day — shows all appointments for a single day, including appointment type, assigned staff, and status.

  • Month — a high-level view of all appointments across the month.

  • Staff — shows schedules separated by provider and staff member side by side.

Filters

  • Location — if you're a multi-location practice, filter the calendar by location.

  • Appointment Types — each appointment type has its own color. Show all or filter to specific types.

  • Staff — filter by any staff member. All staff are selected by default.

  • Show Canceled Appointments — canceled appointments are hidden by default. Check this box to show them on the calendar.

Schedule

The Schedule gives you a list view of appointments across any date range. It defaults to today's date.

From the Schedule you can access patient profiles directly, update appointment statuses, print the schedule for staff, and filter or sort by appointment status, type, insurance, staff, and date range.

Requests

The Requests page shows all appointment requests submitted through your online booking page. A red notification badge appears next to Appointments → Requests when new requests are waiting.

Requested appointments also appear on the Calendar with a dotted outline and white background — the time slot is removed from online availability while the request is pending review.

This page also contains your public booking link. Click Copy Public Booking Link to copy the URL, or click Public Booking to open your online scheduling page directly.

By default the page shows pending requests. You can also filter to see rejected or approved requests.

Availability

The Availability section is where you configure your online scheduling. You can set which staff members are bookable online, create or edit time slots, and control whether slots are internal, external, or both.
