You can configure Timetable on a course level to define how the course is scheduled. These settings control the duration, learning time, and due dates that shape each student’s course timeline. You can find these settings in a course under the secondary navigation menu > Timetable > Configuration.
Note: These settings get be individually overwritten by assignments.
Available settings
Status
Select the current status of the schedule.
Draft – The schedule can be configured but is not yet visible and has no effect.
Active – The schedule is enabled, dates are generated, and it is visible to students.
Archived – The schedule is no longer active or visible (functionality to be defined).
Course duration
Define the total course duration in weeks, days, hours, or minutes.
Course due date
Set how the course due date is determined:
None – No due date is applied.
Relative – Select a reference date and apply a positive or negative offset.
Absolute – Define a fixed calendar date.
Available reference dates include:
Enrolment start
Course start
User profile field
Enrolment end
Course end
Learning time
Specify the estimated total learning time required for the course in weeks, days, hours, or minutes.
Weekly commitment
Define the recommended weekly workload in weeks, days, hours, or minutes.
Calendar entries
Select which milestones should be added to the user’s calendar.
Available options are:Activity start date
Activity due date
Course start date
Course end date
Course due date
Tip: Make sure that course duration, learning time, and weekly commitment are consistent and practical in relation to each other.
