Updated over a month ago

About

The overview displays the course timeline, success prediction, learning commitment, and completion conditions. It is designed for students, but teachers can open it to review what is displayed. You can find the overview in a course under the secondary navigation menu > Timetable > Overview.

Overview sections

The overview contains four sections that present different information depending on what is available for the course. All information shown is individual for each student.

Course timeline

  • Course start date

  • current date

  • Course due date

  • Recommended weekly commitment

  • Course duration

  • Learning time

Success prediction

  • Overall feedback if configured in prediction setup.

  • Feedback on all prediction factors setup in prediction setup.

Your learning commitment

This section shows each student's weekly commitment and learning speed. Both values influence the prediction calculation and can be adjusted to match the time and pace the student can realistically maintain.

  • Your weekly commitment

By default, the weekly commitment comes from the Timetable configuration. Students can click "Change" to enter a planned weekly commitment in weeks, days, hours, or minutes. Adjusting this value helps students estimate how much time they need to finish the course on schedule.

  • Your learning speed

The default learning speed is 1.0. Students can click "Change" to set their preferred learning speed:

    • Slow (0,5x) – Need extra time to understand the concept

    • Somewhat slow (0.7x) – Need a bit more time than average

    • Normal (1.0x) – Learn at an average pace

    • Somewhat fast (1.3x) – Learn a bit faster than average

    • Fast (1.5x) – Grasp concepts quickly

    • Very fast (2.0x) – Understand new material very rapidly

    • Custom value – Enter a value between 0.1 and 3.0.

Completion conditions

If completion conditions are configured, each condition is displayed using the visuals defined in the general global settings.
