Competency graph widget in Dash

Display proficiency levels across competency frameworks using a radar graph (Pro only)

About

The Competency graph widget displays a radar graph designed to show aggregated insights into competency frameworks. This visualization offers a bird’s–eye perspective on student proficiency levels. Students can use this widget to quickly identify their strengths and areas for improvement across different skill sets.

Note: This widget requires competencies to be configured in Moodle. For more information on how to set this up, refer to the official Moodle documentation.

What is displayed?

  • A radar graph (also known as a spider chart) that visualizes competencies with the following information:

    • Competency names – These are listed around the outer edge of the graph.

    • Concentric rings – These represent the different levels of mastery or progress within the framework.

    • Color–coded segments – The graph uses specific colors to indicate the current status of each competency:

      • Magenta – Proficient

      • Green – Achieved

      • Light Green – Not achieved

    • Legend – A key located at the bottom of the widget that defines the meaning of each color.
