The manage competencies appearance page allows administrators to define specific visual attributes for competencies. By setting custom colors and images, you can improve the clarity of the Competency progress widget, making it easier for students to identify their progress across different skill areas at a glance.
You can find these settings under Site administration > Plugins > Local plugins > Dash Pro > Manage competencies appearance.
Available settings
The management interface lists all competencies currently configured in your Moodle site. If no competencies have been created, this list remains empty.
The following options and interactive elements are available:
Competency name – Clicking the name of a competency takes you directly to the core Moodle edit competency page.
Setup – Clicking this button opens a configuration modal where you can define specific Dash attributes for the competency:
Competency color – Assign a specific hex code or select a color to change the color of the progress bar in the Competency progress widget.
Competency image – Upload an image file to be displayed next to the progress bar in the Competency progress widget.
