You've received your work authorization - it's time to celebrate! However, there are still several more steps to go through before you complete your EB-3 journey. It is important that you complete the remaining steps in order, to ensure a smooth relocation and onboarding process. We are here to help.
AOS Clients
For those adjusting their status in the US:

Step 1: Once you receive your work authorization (EAD or GC, whichever comes first), please contact BDV Client Services to notify them you are ready to work.
Step 2: Get SS Card (if you didn't have one already)
Step 3: Receive assigned worksite if variable
Step 4: Secure housing
Step 5: Move
Step 6: Start work
Note: Steps 3 and 4 (getting worksite and housing) should be done around 8 weeks before starting work.
Consular Clients
For those applying for a visa while in their home country:
Step 1: Once you receive your work authorization (EAD or GC, whichever comes first), please contact BDV Client Services to notify them you are ready to work.
Step 2: Move to US (in temporary housing)
Step 3: Get SS card
Step 4: Receive assigned worksite if variable
Step 5: Secure permanent housing
Step 6: Move
Step 7: Start work
Note: Numbers 4 and 5 (getting worksite and housing) should be done around 8 weeks before starting work.
Additional Steps for Everyone
Usually before move: get driver's license, get transportation
Usually after move: secure daycare/school for children, get bank account
