Overview
By default, Besty can be configured to withhold address and check-in information until a specific time before arrival — for example, 24 hours prior. If Besty is sharing this information too early, it usually means a workflow or knowledge base setting needs to be adjusted.
Why Besty might share address info too early
Workflow in draft mode: If the workflow that controls check-in information timing is still in draft mode, it won't be active and Besty may fall back to answering address questions freely. Make sure your check-in timing workflow is enabled (not in draft).
Knowledge base instruction missing: If the restriction isn't explicitly stated in your knowledge base, Besty may share the address when a guest asks. Add a clear instruction such as: "Do not share the property address or check-in instructions until 24 hours before the reservation check-in date."
How to add a timing restriction to the knowledge base
Go to app.getbesty.ai/teachBesty.
Add or edit the instruction for address sharing with your preferred timing rule.
Apply it to all relevant listings.
Enabling a check-in timing workflow
Go to Workflows in your Besty dashboard.
Find the workflow related to check-in instructions or address sharing.
Confirm it is enabled, not in draft.
If the workflow was recently set up but is showing as draft, contact your support channel to have it activated.
Access codes and the 24-hour rule
For properties with smart locks, access codes are typically sent automatically at noon on the check-in day once the guest has signed their rental agreement. This is separate from the address sharing setting and is controlled by your check-in automation workflow.
