How long does it take that changes are applied to the parcel?

Here we need to differentiate between different setups and implementations. The two main differences are between static routing and dynamic routing:

Static routing

When changes are only applied to the original GLS label, tour area changes can take longer until they are applied to every parcel. The label is created at the shipping destination, the longer the parcel is on it’s way to the destination depot the older the information on the parcel will be. If the parcel was ingested to the system on 11.12 and it arrives in the destination depot on 14.12, the information on the parcel will be 3 days old.

The Information can be updated through relabeling the parcel during APL or EPL in respective depots (which will lead to small additional effort in those depots). Currently EPL relabeling does not include load balancing changes.

Dynamic routing

Applied changes to the tour plan or Load Balancing are are applied to the label if they are activated until shortly before the inbound starts.
