How to set up your tour in Bettermile

First, you need to turn on the Bettermile app on your device.

2. Now log in. If the login process does not work as expected, you can check our article about login issues.

3. Next, enter your tour number. It is important to note that each driver must have their own login and tour number. Two drivers cannot drive two different tours with the same login number, because in that case the drivers will see two tours combined.

4. You will then see this screen, where you can check whether all your deliveries have been correctly transferred to the Bettermile app. For a better overview, you can switch between jobs and waypoints. Stay here until the scanning process is complete, as you will need all the address details for the next steps.

5. You will then see an overview of all the addresses that need to be corrected.

Try to enter them correctly, because only correct address details can be taken into account when calculating a reasonable sequence.

Addresses that need to be corrected must be corrected, otherwise they will not appear in the sequence.

Addresses that need to be checked are included in the range, but may lead to inaccurate navigation (e.g., missing house number).

6. Check the timeframes for all items and adjust them if necessary.

Also check whether any of the other waypoints need a timeframe.

Note that timeframes affect the order of your rounds, so set them realistically. If you are still unsure, you can skip this step.

7. Scroll through the list and use the search bar to find the address you want to start with today. Click the circle next to the waypoint to mark it as “First.” The order will be adjusted depending on what you enter, but if you still can't decide, you can skip this step.

8. Now select your destination. This can be your depot or another address. Just like the starting point of a route, the destination is important for correctly calculating the sequence.

Also set a correct estimated departure time. This is important for calculating the route time and, if incorrect, especially in combination with time frames, can negatively affect your tracking.

9. You are now ready to start driving and receive general information about the order of the day! Zoom in and out to check the delivery area.

Using Waypoints, you can check one last time to make sure that no Waypoints have been set incorrectly or that no adjustments are needed.

The Load function allows you to see the best order in which to load your shipments into your delivery van.
