In cases where a customer returns early, you may want to change the end time of the booking, to properly represent when it ended in reality. You may also want to re-calculate the price and most importantly make the booked items available again.
We have made it easier for you to do so with our new early return feature.
You can find it in the "handle completion" sidebar, which appears when changing the status to "completed".
When you click on it, you will see a new interface, which shows you the previous end date and the new one. If you select the new end date, a second interface will ask whether you want to re-calculate the prices and display the difference.
If you chose to re-calculate, then not only will the booking end date be changed but also the prices of the articles will change to what they would have been, if the customer had booked the new time range initially.
Since for some businesses an early return of 15 minutes may already be relevant and for others it becomes relevant if it's more than a day, we have also added a setting in the interactions section (https://app.rentware.io/settings/interactions), which controls the when the feature appears.
If you enter 1 hour, like in the example above, then the feature will only appear of the booking ands an hour or more early.
It will not appear if it was to end in half an hour.
