How to set up ticket sales

Create tickets and add-ons, configure sale and deposit settings, and publish an event ticket sale.

How to set up ticket sales

Follow these steps to create tickets, configure your sale, and publish the ticket page for an event.

1. Start a ticket sale

  1. Sign in to the Beventi Seller Dashboard.

  2. Open Tickets.

  3. Select Sell Tickets.

2. Add the event details

Add the event name, description, date, time, and location. You can also add a website link, Facebook group URL, and event banner.

Choose whether the event is public or available only through a direct link, then select Create Event & Continue.

The currency applies to all ticket prices. It is based on the event location by default and cannot be changed after tickets have been created.

3. Add tickets and add-ons

  1. In Tickets & Addons, select Add ticket.

  2. Add the ticket name, price, availability, description, and optional customer limit.

  3. Add any optional extras with Add addon.

  4. Use Restrict to admission tickets when an add-on should be available only with selected ticket types.

  5. Select Continue when you have finished.

You need at least one admission ticket before you can continue. Leave availability blank only when the ticket or add-on should have unlimited availability.

4. Configure sale settings

Set Sale ends to choose when new ticket orders close. Add the required Refund policy and check that it explains your event's cancellation terms.

To accept deposits, turn on Allow deposits and open Deposits and payment plans. Choose:

  • a percentage or fixed deposit;

  • the minimum order value;

  • the final payment deadline and timezone;

  • what happens when an order remains unpaid; and

  • the deposit policy shown before checkout.

Select Save settings & continue when the settings are complete.

5. Add products if needed

You can add products such as signed books, merchandise, or limited event extras to the ticket sale. This step is optional.

6. Review and publish

Select Review & publish, then check the following:

  • ticket and add-on counts

  • products

  • sale end date

  • deposit and payment-plan settings

  • refund and deposit policies

  • currency.

From here, select Go live, Schedule for later, or Preview. If a required setting is missing, Beventi will prompt you to return and fix it before publishing.
