Organising your catalog with Series

How to edit and manage your series

Series allow you to group related titles, bundles, and products together, and control the exact order buyers see them in. Once a series is arranged the way you want, that order will appear in your order forms and listings automatically.

To get started, head to Products → Series in the main menu.

Note: A series shows up here as soon as you assign a title or bundle to it, or you can create an empty series and fill it in later.

Creating a series

  1. On the Series page, click Create series.

  2. Enter a name.

  3. Click Create series.

Your new series is added to the list, ready to fill with products.

Adding titles, bundles & products

  1. Open a series by clicking it in the list.

  2. Click Add products.

  3. Browse or search your catalog and tick the items you want (you can select several at once).

  4. Click "Add Selected."

Helpful tips:

  • The picker only shows products that aren’t already in a series, so you’ll never create duplicates.

  • You can mix titles, bundles, and standalone products in one series.

  • Adding an item at a specific spot in the list: hover between two items and click the that appears to drop your next selection in that exact spot. Otherwise items are added to the end, and can be dragged to rearrange in your desired order.

Setting the order buyers see

The order of items inside a series is the default order your buyers see.

To rearrange the product order:

  1. Open the series.

  2. Grab the drag handle (the dotted grip) to the left of any item.

  3. Drag it up or down, then release.

The new order saves automatically. Each item shows a thumbnail, its title, and details like book number, format (Paperback, Hardback…), or a Bundle badge so they’re easy to tell apart.

Removing an item

Click the trash icon on the right of any item to take it out of the series.

Note: The item itself is not deleted, it just becomes ungrouped from the series. Removed something by mistake? Click Undo in the confirmation message to put it back.

Ordering the series themselves

You can also arrange your series relative to one another:

  1. On the main Series page, set the sort to Custom order.

  2. Drag any series up or down using its handle.

This order feeds into what buyers see too, so you can lead with your flagship series and arrange the rest however you like.

Note: Drag-to-reorder is only available in Custom order.

Alternatively, you can select one of these default series order options:

  • Recently added

  • A–Z

  • Z–A

  • Most items: series with the most titles and bundles first

Renaming a series

Open the series, then either:

  • Click the pencil icon next to the name, or

  • Open the menu (top right) and choose Rename.

Update the name and click Save changes.

Deleting a series

Open the series, click the menu, and choose Delete.

Note: Deleting a series never deletes your titles, bundles, or products, it only removes the grouping.

If the series still contains items, you’ll be asked what to do with them:

  • Move all items to another series: pick a destination and everything moves across.

  • Remove from series (keep items, ungrouped): items stay in your catalog but are no longer grouped.

Confirm with Delete series to finish.

FAQ

Will deleting or editing a series remove my products?

No. Series only control grouping and order. Your titles, bundles, and products are always safe.

Why can’t I drag my series into a new order?

Reordering only works in Custom order view with no search applied. Switch the sort back to Custom order and clear the search box.

Where does this ordering show up?

The order you set (both the series order and the item order within each series) becomes the default order buyers see on your order forms and listings.

Can one product be in two series?

No. A product belongs to one series at a time, which is why the “Add products” picker hides items that are already grouped.
