Understanding wholesale pricing and order rules

Understand wholesale price, SRP, margin, quantity tiers, MOQ, and pack size.

Wholesale price

The wholesale price is the unit price your bookstore pays before shipping, discounts, taxes, and fees.

Some products have one wholesale price. Others use quantity tiers where the unit price changes at different quantities. Sellers choose the specific prices and order rules for their wholesale listings.

SRP

SRP means Suggested Retail Price. It is the retail price the seller expects a customer may pay. SRP helps you understand your expected margin. It does not change the wholesale checkout price.

Margin

Margin is an estimate based on the SRP and wholesale price. It is shown to help you evaluate buying decisions.

Quantity tiers

Quantity tiers are different per-unit prices for different order quantities.

For example:

Quantity

Wholesale unit price

1-9

8.00

10-24

7.50

25+

7.00

If your quantity falls outside the seller's tier ranges, it may not be available.

MOQ, maximum quantity, and pack size

  • MOQ means minimum order quantity. You must order at least that many units.

  • Maximum quantity is the largest quantity the seller allows for the item or order.

  • Pack size means the item must be ordered in multiples, such as 6, 12, or 24 units.

FAQ

Does SRP change what I pay?

No. You pay the wholesale price or quantity tier price.

Why does checkout ask me to change quantity?

Your quantity may not meet the seller's MOQ, maximum quantity, tier range, or pack-size rule.
