Setting quantity tiers, SRP, variants, and margins

How to use tier pricing, suggested retail prices, variant prices, and margin display.

Understanding quantity tiers, SRP/margins, and variants

Use advanced pricing when bookstores need different prices by quantity or variant.

Single price versus quantity tiers

Use a single price when the buyer should pay the same unit price at every quantity. Use quantity tiers when larger orders should use different unit prices.

For example:

Quantity

Wholesale unit price

1-9

8.00

10-24

7.50

25+

7.00

The minimum quantity is inclusive. If you use maximum quantities, the maximum is also inclusive.

You tier ranges must not overlap or leave gaps. Each quantity should match exactly one tier, and only the final tier should be open-ended.

SRP

SRP means Suggested Retail Price. It is the retail price you expect the bookstore may sell the item for.

SRP helps Beventi show the estimated margin. It does not change the wholesale checkout price.

Variants

Products with variants can use variant-level pricing or rules when each edition, format, cover, signed option, or other variation needs its own wholesale setup.

FAQ

Does SRP change the checkout price?

No. Buyers pay the wholesale price or tier price.

Can variants have their own prices?

Yes. Use variant settings when variants need different wholesale prices or rules.
