A type describes the kind of schedule item, such as a panel, signing or workshop. Types also help readers filter the program and help your team recognize items in the grid.
Choose or create a type
Choose an existing Type when editing an item. Use Add a new type if your event needs a different category, or prepare your custom types from Types in the schedule area.
Custom types have a name, color and presentation:
Session: an activity readers attend from its start time.
Logistics: supporting activities such as registration or breaks.
Open hours: a room or service readers can drop into during a time window.
For example, use a Session type for a panel and an Open hours type for a reading lounge.
Manage your types
You can rename, recolor and remove your custom types. Built-in types are fixed. Review affected items and publish changes when they are ready.
FAQ
How many custom types can I add?
You can add up to six custom types per event, in addition to the built-in types.
Why will Beventi not accept my type name?
Check whether an equivalent type already exists, including a built-in type, and whether you have reached the custom-type limit.
Should “18+” or “Ticketed” be a type?
Use a tag for an additional label that can apply to different kinds of activity. A tag is descriptive; it does not enforce an age or ticket-access rule.
