Organize, reorder or remove event maps

Maintain map names and types, change their order and distinguish hiding a map from deleting it.

Use map types to group related plans, such as Seating Chart, Venue, Parking or Day 2. These map types are separate from schedule item types such as Panel or Workshop.

Rename and organize

Click a map on the Maps page to open Map details. Change its Name or Map type, then choose Save. You can also use Rename or Change map type from its actions.

Choose New map type to add a group. Use the group's actions to rename it or Add map here. You can have up to 20 map types per event; names can be up to 100 characters.

Drag maps or map types into the intended order. On smaller screens, use Move up and Move down where available. Clear any map selection first if reordering is disabled.

Hide or delete

Turn off Live to hide a map while keeping it and its pins for later use.

Use Delete only when you no longer need the map. The confirmation includes the affected pins. Deleting a map removes those pins and cannot be undone.

Deleting a map type is different: its maps remain under No map type. Their live/draft and access settings still apply.

Work with several maps

Select map checkboxes to make drafts live, change who can see the selected maps, or delete them together. Review the selected count and any mixed access settings before confirming. Where an Undo confirmation appears after a reversible update, use it promptly if needed; deletion does not offer that recovery.

FAQ

Will deleting a map delete its schedule rooms or sessions?

No. It removes that map and its pins. Schedule rooms and items are separate.

Why can I not upload another map?

An event can have up to 30 maps, including drafts. Each selected PDF page counts separately. Remove an unused map or replace an existing image when appropriate.

Does Cancel in Map details undo pin edits?

No. Cancel discards unsaved detail fields. Pins save separately, and the Live switch also takes effect separately. Check each action's status.
